Castro: High Fidelity Podcasts App Reviews

Ive tried tons of podcast apps but somehow I keep coming back to Castro. Castro in my opinion has the best UI ; combining elegance, simplicity and functionality. I Would love the ability to create playlists but I think the creators left it out to preserve simplicity. Other than that this is the best podcast app by far. Cant wait for Castro 2.

Great app. Would be a 5 star if: 1. we had the ability to make playlists, 2. top charts section and 3. the ability to control automatic downloads for all podcasts instead of one by one.

Okay so I set the settings. Done. Now, how to view a different podcast from a different URL? Huh? Its frozen. Deleted your useless product.

I love this app and have been a faithful user since its launch. I paid full price for it and I thought it was a great product. Recently there was an update that allows for voluntary patron payments. This message stays there despite my payment of the app. I wouldnt mind paying again if there was newer features added like Apple Watch support but the app hasnt significantly changed since its inception. It would be one thing if the message was discrete but its always there unless you give them money. Very disappointed.

I love this app. It saddens me to not be able to use it all the time anymore. Since the new iOS updates, the search function rarely works. This means I cant add new subscriptions. Ive had to start using the apple podcast app. I hate it.

Started podcasts just to try out this app. Not very familiar with podcast apps, but the gesture based navigation is great! Very nice, and I’ve never seen a bug. ポッドキャストのアプリあまり使ってないけどこれは使いやすい。普通のボタンないのに全然問題なくて逆に超簡単になる！そしてバグは一回も見てない (Used on iPhone5, iPhone6)

A decent app overall, nothing fancy, jest decent. Things I dont like: - too small player controls - not much configuration that is also moved out of the app to device settings - not responsive to system font size changes! - add button (+) also too small - app is missing car mode - blue links on some dark backgrounds are way too dark - wheres night/day mode? - podcasts logos are circles - how about an option to haves boxed, just like eg in tweetbot?

I think this is a really great app! I use it on a daily basis and loving it. Easy and pleasantly to use! Wish there were top lists when searching for new podcasts, thats the only feature im missing. Great job, guys!

New bold fronts everywhere are ugly, please return narrow and app will be perfect

Great app! Waiting for podcast charts in subscriptions menu to navigate best postcasts by genres or popularity.

Its the best app if you to listening to podcasts. Its clear, beautiful, simple and clever.

If you want a have-everything podcast player, this is not your thing. No support for images in show notes, interface is extremely simple, and it even has no list of hottest podcasts in the category. However, the excellence of the design quality of this app is impossible to find in any other podcast app. Its beautiful. Its minimal yet offers all the functions that you need right there, easily accessible even with a single hand on a big screen. It knows what you need and what you dont.
